Tandem® Police officers meet migrants.
Literary protocols.

The project Intercultur-Tandem® makes it possible for the first time, that police officers and migrants get into a dialogue in an equal situation. This method promotes social learning, direct experiences and an antiracist education.

Police officers meet migrants to do different activities and to have an exchange about identity, cultural differences, prejudice and racism. Famous writers joined these meetings and wrote literary portraits about involved people: portraits, biographies and dialogues. In this way, social and political problems are presented in an impressing way but also as a new forward-looking model of a difficult dialogue.

The writers are: Dimitré Dinev, Erich Hackl, Alma Hadzibeganovic, Heinz Janisch, Vladimir Vertlib, Renate Welsh-Rabady and Christa Zettel.
