Art Film Festival

As a member of Erste Bank group, Slovenská sporitelˇnˇa is dedicated to giving long-term support to cultural projects aiming at diminishing borders between individuals or nations. The Art Film Festival, with its 10 years history, takes place every year in the spa town of Trencˇianske Teplice. The Festival has the best pre-requisites to fulfil the “cross border-idea” by an annual well selected choice of competing international films as well as by selected accompanying events.

Slovenská sporitelˇnˇa has been a long term partner of the Festival, wishing to support the European film industry and its positioning in Slovakia as well as the international influence which is created by the Festival every year.

In connection to the Slovak Republic´s entry in the EU, Slovenská sporitelˇnˇa and the Director of the festival Mr. Hledík decided to dedicate a new award of Slovenská sporitelˇnˇa for the best film of a young author from a Central European country. In 2003 this award went to “Village B” by Filip Remund from the Czech Republic.
