A hands-on exhibition on the topic of money – starting September 30 at ZOOM Kindermuseum

Quid, bucks, bread, greenbacks, dough, loot, dosh – it’s clear where the pocket money’s coming from. But where do your parents take it from? How does one best ration it? The exhibition is designed like a big game: the kids can earn money, spend, save, or donate it. They find out what money used to look like, what we need money for and which things cannot be bought with money. At the national bank station they see how money is produced. The children print money themselves – not Euros of course, but Zoomies –, they affix safety features and guard a money transport. At the bank they can count and sort money, save it or invest it in stock. There’s also lots of fun at the money disco, the money wind tunnel and the money fitness studio: the kids rock along with “Money, Money, Money” and test their brawniness with gold bullion. And which important things in life don’t have anything to do with money?
